Change in domain name
-
Hi,
We already purchased “peoplecart.com” domain at rediff.com.
Now we want “blog.peoplecart.com” should redirect to “peoplecarts.wordpress.com”.
For this we need to add “CName” record at rediff.com.But my mistake we have entered as domain name in wordpress.com. Now want to change this mapping as sub domain.
What is the process for completing this ?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
No problem at all. I have removed the Domain Mapping and provided you a full refund. Please note that it may take up to a week for the refund to show up in your bank account. You can now add the correct subdomain!
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi,
We have added the sub domain “blog.peoplecart.com”. If we try to browse with “blog.peoplecart.com” or “peoplecarts.wordpress.com” it is not redirecting to the blog. It is redirecting to the “IIS7 page”. Can you please look into this and update us.

Hi there,
Please add a CNAME record through the registrar where you purchased your domain or through your DNS provider. You should NOT change your Name Server information if you wish to only map a subdomain. The CNAME should look something like the following:
subdomain.yourdomain.com. IN CNAME yourblog.wordpress.com.
You can find more detailed instructions here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hi,
We did the same. We have purchased our domain “peoplecart.com” at rediff hosting. We have updated the CName record as follows. Alias : blog Host Server : peoplecarts.wordpress.com. But still it is not working. Please do need full asap.

Hi there,
After looking into your account, I found that peoplecart.com is registered with Network Solutions as seen here:
http://who.wildwestdomains.com/WhoIs.aspx?prog_id=wildwestdomains&domain=peoplecart.com
If that is you, please contact Network Solutions and have them check to make sure that the CNAME record is set up correctly.
If the CNAME record is done correctly, everything on our end will work fine.
