Change link color
-
I am very new to this, don’t know any css.Hope someone can help me, if question is too basic, tell me.
I would like to change the link color on my pages. In some cases they are blue, in others they are black. All are underlined. I just upgraded to custom design to get access to css. Can someone tell me how to do this, in simple English? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All CSS editing is theme specific. there is no off-the-shelf code we can provide. Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog you purchased the custom design upgrade for.

I clicked into 5 random pages from my pc using Firefox 11. The links are all blue – the same color I’m accustomed to seeing on the Pilcrow theme. For iPad issues there’s a forum that may be helpful > http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting

Yikes! I forgot to tell you that after tyhe blue links are clicked in that theme they turn black and become underlined. That’s normal behavior for that theme.

Thank you. As I said, I’m so new at this, not even sure how to use css, but I’ll keep reading and figuring it out.

I have flagged this thread and it will be moved to the CSS Forum where Staff will assist you when they can. Best wishes.

Oh, that explains it. So, someone looking at it won’t think it’s weird that some are blue and some black? Next challenge is fixing a hover color.
Thanks again.

The Pilcrow theme has a few various CSS link color settings scattered in the original stylesheet: https://s-ssl.wordpress.com/wp-content/themes/pub/pilcrow/style.css?m=1354392135g&minify=false
To change the link color and the hover link color in the Pilcrow theme, I copied all of the selectors that were using specific link colors and changed them all at once for links and then active/hover links like this:
a, .entry-meta a, .entry-content a:visited, .page-link a:link, .page-link a:visited { color: Indigo; } a:focus, a:active, a:hover, .entry-meta a:hover, .page-link a:active, .page-link a:hover { color: Orchid; }Try copying that into your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS page and adjust the color names as necessary.
