I am getting ready to post a blog post with 3 links. They blend in to my article so I want to change the color. I am completely new to this and I am struggling in how to change them! Can anyone else!

Hey kimbrown1615!
When you’re editing your post, at the top right of the text area, click “Text” (not “Visual”).
Go to where your 3 hyperlinks are. You’ll see something like:
Change the first <> bracket to:
You want to replace YOUR-COLOR with what’s called a color code. See https://htmlcolorcodes.com to find the color code you want!
Now do this for all your hyperlinks, and you should be good to go!
By the way, the computer language you’re using is called HTML. You can learn more here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/Getting_started_with_the_web/HTML_basics
***
If you want to change EVERY hyperlink in all your posts, I can explain how to do that using CSS, which is another computer language! Let me know if that’s what you want to do!

Sorry, I miswrote this section. Here it is again:
Go to where your 3 hyperlinks are. You’ll see something like:
<a href=“YOUR-URL”>Your Link Text</a>Change the first <> bracket to:
<a href=“YOUR-URL” style=“color: YOUR-COLOR;”>You want to replace YOUR-COLOR with what’s called a color code. See https://htmlcolorcodes.com to find the color code you want!

Ok can you direct me where to find the 3 hyperlinks? When i opened. The CSS section I only see the welcome message. By the way, the links I’m trying to change are in a draft. Not sure if that matters! Thanks

Wait I’m getting closer :) This is one of the links I am trying to change to a brighter color.
I would like to change to a red or something bright. I was looking at C70039 in the HTML color codes.
I’m still not finding where to change this?
Thank you! -
Hey kimbrown1615,
Is the link color something you want a permanent change to or just on these specific ones?
If it’s something you’d like to change through out the entire site and aren’t able to control it through the Customizer for “Colors & Backgrounds”, then you could try adding the following CSS into your Custom CSS section:
a:link, a:visited, h2 a:visited { color: #C70039; }If it’s just on these specific ones that you want to change the color, then as per 8danfitz8 mentioned, you can do it inline on the “Text” tab when you’re in “Edit” mode of specific post. One the text tab you’d want to look for the link code:
<a target="_blank" href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000Q418U6/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B000Q418U6&linkCode=as2&tag=bewholly-20&linkId=b239fe284f6071d4085592438a91260e" rel="nofollow"> Tranquil Mind </a>and change it to:
<a target="_blank" href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000Q418U6/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B000Q418U6&linkCode=as2&tag=bewholly-20&linkId=b239fe284f6071d4085592438a91260e" style="color: #C70039;" rel="nofollow"> Tranquil Mind </a>You should see where I’ve added
style="color: #C70039;"in the second code example. :-)Hope this helps you!

Hi kimbrown1615,
Just circling back on your original question — do you only want to change the colour of links in the content of posts (on every post)? Or would you like the change the colour for every link on your site (menu, post content, footer etc)?
If you let me know, I’ll be happy to take a look :)
Thanks for all your help so far @8danfitz8 and @tanyathibodeau.

I would love to do it for all links! I appear to be struggling with links all around! :( I have added a url before but this one is an html. I am trying my first Amazon affiliate link. In addition to having trouble changing the link color, it now appears to be taking you back to a previous post in my blog when you click the link. When I try it , it works. When another admin on my account tries it, it takes them back to a precious post on my blog! Ahhh!

thank you thank you! I think that worked and I believe the links are working now. Much appreciated!!
