Do you want to change the spacing between rows of text?
The best way to do that is to customize the CSS on your site. You’ll need to have the premium or business plan on WordPress.com to customize with CSS. (Info on plans here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/)
If you have premium or business, you could use this CSS:
1. Log into your site and select “Customize” next to “Themes” in the left menu.
2. Select “Additional CSS” (the last option in the list)
3. Specify the row height with:
p{
line-height: 1.4;
}(But play around with the number to find the right number that you want – obviously, smaller number = shorter row heights.)
Note that the preview will change as you are entering the row height number, but the site won’t actually change until you select “Save and publish”
Here’s a quick link to the beginning of CSS in case it’s new to you: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/

Thank you verry much Julia, for all the info. I am a premium user. The code works like charm. When i adjust the numbers will it affect the empty rows too ?

I believe so – it should work for all paragraph texts – the breaks between paragraphs will stay. Headings would also be different/ still at their default.
