Change link of a button
-
Helo there everyone,
I have a button added on my home page that leads to a certain page on my website. A programmer created my site and is now nowhere to be found. I need the button to lead to a different page now, so I need to change the link of that button and where it leads. I’ve tried searching online and found nothing on the topic. How do I do that? Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Would you mind confirming that the site you need help with is the dressrentalca.wordpress.com? This is a not yet public site.
Please note that these forums are maintained to support WordPress.com-hosted sites only. If your site is using the open-source WordPress.org software, we won’t be able to help you, and you’ll want to seek help at these forums:

No that’s not the blog, that messaged appeared automatically. I need help with a different site, but I need to know how to change the link to the button

Hi there,
We’re only able to provide support for sites that are hosted by us at WordPress.com. If your site is hosted elsewhere, we aren’t able to provide support for that. With the link to your blog, we can confirm where it’s hosted.
The instructions for how to change the link of the button will vary depending on how the button was inserted in the first place.
If you are using the block editor and you used the buttons block, you can see how to insert a link (the same process can be followed to update/change the link) here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/buttons-block/#linking-a-button
