change location of primary menu in origin theme
-
I am trying to move my primary menu bar as low as possible.
I was playing with position: absolute, but nothing seems to be working.
I noticed though that increasing the branding width for some reason sends the menu exactly where I want it, but the site name goes exactly where I do not want it :(I will appreciate any ideas.
Thank you!

If you want the site title to stay here it is and the menu to move down closer to the line below, remove the branding width change you inserted and add the following. The first value, 30px, is the top margin. You can adjust that to about 50px without affecting the height of the header area. If you wish to have the menu even closer to the line, decrease the 12px value, which is the bottom margin, and then you can increase the top margin value more without affecting the height of the header.
#menu-primary { margin: 30px 0 12px; }If I’ve misunderstood what you are wanting, please let me know.

This is exactly what I wanted – the ability to move the primary menu about. This is just perfect! Thank you!

Could you please help?

I’m going to mark this topic as resolved since the original issue was resolved and support should be re-opened by now.

Thank you :)
I am trying to change the color of the “byline” – at least this is the name I get in firebug – I mean the info on date and category just under the title. However when I use “byline” code I can only change the permament parts of it. Is there any way to change the color of all of it…?
Thank you!

You need more than one selector, because parts of the byline are plain text but parts of it are links:
.byline, .byline a, .byline a:visited { color: #9A1313; } -
Thank you! It’s worked perfectly. I have even managed to change the hover color thanks to your tip :D
