Change mapping from domain to subdomain

I currently have my wordpress.com blog mapped to my godaddy domain name. Now, I would like to develop my godaddy page differently and have my blog be mapped to a subdomain (a link on the webpage, right?) Can I back up and have my blog mapped to a subdomain as opposed to the main domain name? Thanks
