change media url on wordpress.com

Is it possible to change the media url on wordpress.com or alternatively rename the account?
If this isn’t possible how would I go about cancelling a domain mapping bundle or transferring it to another account?
thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No problem, you have a few options:
Changing a Blog Address
Transferring Domains
Transfer Blog to Another UserThat should get you started. Once you have looked it over, and if you could tell us more specifically what you need to do (i.e. which blog has domain mapping already, what do you want to accomplish, etc), we can offer more specific instructions.

Thanks for your quick reply Lettergrade.
I’ve had a look through the links you have sent me but I can’t seem to find exactly what I need.
We currently host a blog on a local WordPress installation with our own domain. My plan is to move this blog to WordPress.com.
I have done an export from this local WordPress and imported it into WordPress.com but I have noticed that all images are pointing to the local version. I thought I could fix this quickly by reuploading the images separately and changing the import xml but I have come up a bit stuck. I foolishly set the account name on WordPress.com to be our company name rather than the name of the blog so now the media file url includes titanentertainmentgroup.files.wordpress.com. I have read elsewhere that I can’t change the url to something more appropriate and have assumed that this won’t change with domain mapping (is this incorrect?). It is difficult for me to test exactly what will happen without encountering some downtime.
So my new plan is to either rename the account or start again.
Unfortunately I have already paid for domain mapping on this account which I would need to transfer to any new account.
What would you suggest is my best course of action?
best wishes

titanentertainmentgroup.files.wordpress.com
Media file names always show the base WordPress.COM URL as in your example, the site linked to my name is a mapped domain to WordPress.COM, visit the site and look at the URL of the pictures – that is what your visitors will see

Thanks auxclass.
You have confirmed for me that the domain mapping won’t change my image url unfortunately.
I will need to somehow change my base url. Is it possible to change this or would I need to create a new account? Could I also transfer an unused domain mapping bundle from my old account to a new one?
thanks

You can absolutely change your blog address to something more appropriate: Changing a Blog Address
Then the domain mapping upgrade should still apply, as you’re still on the same account, and the nameservers are still pointing to the same place. I am not sure myself whether there are any further adjustments would need to be made. If you have trouble, check back in and let us know.

Silly me, I was trying to change the blog address from a user account which had admin rights rather than the main admin account :$
Thank you both for your help
