Change menu color
-
I see a lot of posts concerning changing the menu color, but when I enter the various CSS directions I get nothing, so I’m hoping the code is site specific and I’m not stumbling on another simple change.
Thanks!

Hi there!
The CSS code depends on your theme.
What exactly are you trying to achieve? Are you planning to only change the color of the menu?
Also, remember that with your plan you can access Live Chat directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact. That way you can get help faster.

Yes the color, the word “HOME” is transparent right now. Giving it a color will make it no longer invisible.

The Home link on your site is not transparent for me:
Is it transparent for you when viewing the homepage at http://hashtagactuallyautisticgroovers.com/, or something else?
Can you take a screen shot of what you see and upload it to the media library for me?

I see what you see. Translucent, colorless, blurry, barely readable , lacking contrast and definition, but you are quite right — not transparent. Can I get the code to change the color, we are talking about four letters, is that doable or not? Thanks.

Via Custom CSS https://wordpress.com/support/custom-design/custom-css/ add this and adjust the color as desired:
.navigation-main .current-menu-item.home-link > a, .navigation-main .current_page_item.home-link > a, .featured-image .navigation-main .home-link > a, body:not(.single) .home-link > a:hover { color: #000; }
