change my admin email

What do I do if I have changed my email address? I changed it on my account, but the options page still has the old email address, with no way to change it.

A quick check shows that you can edit your email address at Dashboard -> Users -> Your Profile. I just tested it and it worked fine.

Do you actually have a wordpress.com blog? Or is it possible that you should be over here at http://wordpress.org/support -
Yup, I’m at WP.com — and under Options > General my email can’t be changed, but like drmike said, Users > Your Profile works okay. I even get a confirmation messasge sent to my new address, but logging in another time shows the same thing.

Folks want to change their email address. You can do it now actually by editing the Your Profile page. The system will send you an email to your new account to confirm it.

So, here’s my problem: I created a blog (call it blog A), and I created blog B (for a friend). I was originally admin on both (which was fine). Then I removed myself from blog B (as my friend wanted to take over, which was fine). However, the admin email on blog B is still mine, so I keep getting comment notifications from blog B, and questions from his users of blog B. We have tried to change this by changing the admin email, but to no avail.
So, any ideas? I’m not a user on his blog, we are completely separate, etc. And I still get his admin emails. Frustrating.

You friend can change the admin email address on the blog in question by sending an email to support at this domain or a feedback with a link to this thread. You can do the same too if you so choose and that should solve the problem.

I need help with this situation as well – I lost my email account (don’t ask how – a long story and I don’t come out of it looking too smart) and have had to change the email account where I get notified of new comments. I managed to do it on my profile page, but the admin email still keeps reverting to the old email and I am assuming that is where all the comments are going (I put in test comments and they don’t come through on my email). Can I send you (Podz – or some other help-type person) my details? Where do I send them? Thanks for any assistance.

Use the Support form and send me old addresses, new addresses etc and I should be able to sort things out.
