change my domains A-Records
-
I want to transfer my domain to Weebly for hosting.
these are the 2 options i have to do it, and i cant seem to do either because i cant contact a human being via phone or email…..
and i also DONT have access to change my A-Records…..OPTION 1:
Setup a Domain You Already Own
To set up your domain with Weebly, your domain’s DNS settings need to be updated.Option A: Email instructions to your domain registrar
Send these instructions to your domain registrar (ex. GoDaddy, 1and1, Yahoo, etc.)****Hello, I have purchased my domain nqta.org from you. I have built my website on Weebly.com. I need you to point my domain to the following IP: 199.34.228.59
This is done by changing my domain’s A-Records. I am not requesting that you transfer my domain, redirect my domain, or change my name servers. I want to remain with you as my domain registrar. For more detailed information, please see http://kb.weebly.com/domain-registrar.html.
OPTION 2:
Option B: Make the DNS changes yourself
We have specific instructions for GoDaddy (here) and Yahoo (here).
For all other registrars, follow these general instructions:
1: Log in to your domain’s control panel
2: Locate the area to change your domain’s DNS settings
3: Create 2 A-Records to point to Weebly’s IP address
A-Record Host Points to
#1 The root of your domain (usually identified by a @ or * symbol) 199.34.228.59
#2 www 199.34.228.59
If you experience any problems, email your domain registrar the instructions from Option A above. Unfortunately, we have no control over your domain’s settings and cannot provide assistance.HELP!!! PLEASE
i just spent all this money to host with them and really need this to get done!!!??????
my blog url’s are

Hi Amy – The best way to do this is to transfer your domain nqta.org out to full-service domain registrar, such as GoDaddy. You will be better able to map it to your Weebly site using A records from there.
You can transfer your domain by following these instructions:
If you have any trouble, please let me know which step you’re getting stuck at, and what happens when you try to follow it. Please note that this domain is owned by a different user account than amyrichard78 so if you do need help with this, please log in as that user account that owns the domain before submitting your support request. We’ll be better able to help you if you’re writing us from that account. :)

Okay I was told that by writing to one of you you could change my a records for me I will login under my other email and ask this question again I don’t want to transfer my domain to another domain register I just want to transfer to a different host

Hi Amy – We can do it, but managing A records from our system is not ideal so we try only do it if someone’s domain is under 60 days old so that they are unable to transfer it yet. Yours is old enough, though, so I really do recommend transferring it, as it will be easier for you in the long run.

Hi Amy – I understand. If it’s a problem for you to transfer, we can help you with the A records. Just please submit a request from the correct account, if you have not already. :)
