I deleted blog tied to gmail address (testdmk.wordpress.com) but it still won’t allow me to make change. All blog communications are going to old yahoo address instead of my new gmail address. Pls help
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have two separate email address settings at WordPress.com.
Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.
Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.
Try the change here first > http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/

Hi David,
Your blog at http://davidkanigan.com/ is already using your new gmail address as the blog admin email. You can view this setting under Settings > General in your dashboard.
Your account is still using your yahoo address as the account email, which you can view in your account settings under Users > Personal Settings in your dashboard or on this page: https://wordpress.com/?ssl=forced#!/settings/account/
You can’t change your account email to your new gmail address at this point, because that address is being used as the account email for a different WordPress.com account. Each account must have a unique email address. You can find more information about this problem and instructions for resolving it here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/#issues-changing-your-e-mail-address
Please let me know if you have any questions about that.

HI. Thank you for helping. Please note that I deleted the blog that used my gmail address (testdmk.wordpress.com was deleted). Yet, your systems are still reflecting that my gmail address is tied to this blog which no longer exists. Can you help?
-
The email address is actually linked to your other account, not just the blog you deleted. Since the account is still using that email address, it can’t be used on your davidkanigan account.

Rachel, thanks. I didn’t realize I had “another account” that was active. I thought I permanently deleted it 2 days ago. How can I delete the other account? And what is the other account?
-
Hi David,
Blogs can be permanently deleted, but WordPress.com accounts are permanent and cannot be deleted. You can learn more about this here: Deleting Accounts
If you want to free up your email address to use with your davidkanigan account, you can follow the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/#issues-changing-your-e-mail-address
If you can’t remember the username for your other account, you can log in with your email address and password. If you aren’t sure of the password, you can reset it by entering your email address in the password reset form here:
