Change my home page

  I have tried making my ‘about’ page my static page and landing page for my site but I can’t access the ‘Home’ page which contains my blogs. When I click the Home page I only see the ‘about’ page info. How do I make my About page the landing page, keeping my blogs on the ‘Home page’, but visitors being able to access my blogs or my about page independently?

  Hi Millicent,

  If you want your About page to be your Front back, go to Settings > Reading in your Dashboard and where it says Front Page Displays, set it to a static page and choose your Front page to be your About page. If you have posts, make sure to set another page to be your Posts page.

  Oh I see. I thought that the ‘Home’ page (where my blogs resided) would automatically be listed in the ‘Post Page’ pull down menu. Didn’t realise I should create a new page or assign an exsiting page to host my blogs. Doh!
