    It sounds like you want to upgrade to a custom domain?

    You can do that through WordPress.com Personal Plan or the plan of your choice. There’s a side by side comparison of the plans and their features at wordpress.com/pricing/

    Click the Start With Free button to add the plan to your account and then register your custom domain.

    Once you add the custom domain, your .wordpress.com site is going to redirect to the .com domain.
