change name

  ‘Bring Out the Gimp’ is the old name of my site. I want to change it to my domain name, shawnconner.com. There seems to be nowhere to do this. How do I get rid of ‘Bring Out the Gimp’?

  Jetpack: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  Hello there,

  I’m able to see shawnconner.com without any problems.
  ‘Bring Out the Gimp’ is nowhere to be found.

  Thanks for the response. However, when I go to “my sites” at wordpress.com, the name of the site comes up as Bring Out the Gimp (shawnconner.com). Also, when I receive Jetpack “support” updates, they read “Bring Out the Gimp is back online” or whatever. So, somewhere in WordPress it’s still registered as Bring Out the Gimp. Do you now how I can get rid of this completely?

  Hello there,

  It looks like that’s a Jetpack connected to site and what you’re seeing that is the Site Title.

  To overwrite this, you would need to save the Site Settings here: https://wordpress.com/settings/general/shawnconner.com (which I’ve done).

  Feel free to edit this as you see fit. :)
