Change name of archive

  Hi,

  I would like to change the name of my blogs in the archive. Instead of “January 2009”, “February 2009” I would like them to have my own names. Is this possible and how can I do it?

  If you are talking about this blog, http://shotview.wordpress.com/ then the only way would be to hand code your own archives widget using a text widget and HTML.

  One thing I suggest very strongly is to cut down on the number of posts shown on you main page (settings > reading). Because your blog is so image intensive, it takes forever to load, even with my 5mb connection. People with slower DSL, or dial up will not even bother, they will just go elsewhere. My suggestion would be to limit the number of posts to 5.

  One other suggestion since your site is image heavy is to better optimize your images for the web and keep them under 50k file size each. The difference in quality between 50k and 112k is minimal and most people cannot even see the difference when side by side.
