Are you trying to change the whole domain address or just the name that appears on your website?
To change the name that appears on your blog, visit Settings > General.

Welcome. Be sure to understand that there are several experienced Volunteers here and we aren’t short of those who have correct answers to the questions that are asked. Before you answer any question at all it is wise click the link under the username and read previous threads the blogger has posted. Example https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/tlcrater
Another tip is to use the forum tag search utility and read what Staff and experienced Volunteers have said when answering the same questions previously. I recommend you read the support docs too and use search there. Bottom line:I recommend that you do not post into any thread unless you are 100% sure that you can back up your answers with links to previous Staff and experienced Volunteer answers and/or to support docs. -

Hello, tlcrater! It appears that your blog is hosted privately and using the wordpress CMS (content management system).
The WordPress CMS (wordpress.org) is a little different than the WordPress blogging platform (wordpress.com). So just for future reference, you will have a better chance of getting any questions answered at http://wordpress.org/support/
Fret not tho, I will try to assist you! So I am assuming you are just speaking about changing the Sites title. This should be any easy change! Simply log into your dashboard by entering
http://theresacrater.com/wp-admin and then enter your login credentials. Once you are logged in, simple click Settings>General from the left hand tool bar. The first option you will see is “Site Title”. This is where you can change your blog’s name. Make sure you click “save changes” at the bottom of your page. Refresh your site and the changes should reflect! Now, just know that this is not going to change your domain (.com) name. If for some reason you wanted to change it, you would have to contact your hosting company (http://www.bluehost.com/). I hope this helps you out. Let me know!

Thank you all for so earnestly trying to help. I’m switching from Blue Host to Word Press. So I can’t do that until that contract has expired? Really you’re all expending way too much energy trying to help.

If you plan on switching over to wordpress you should certainly wait to change your domain! WordPress.com current doesn’t allow incoming domain transfers. You would simply choose your new domain during your sign up.
As far as contracts go, you will have to double check with with your current hosting company to see if you have any contract obligations.
