  how do I change name of my blog – I tried doing this but my new name cannot be found through google search – people still have to go through my old name- hope someone can help me! Thanks

  You can change your site title through WordPress admin –> Settings –> General:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/general-settings/#changing-your-site-title-and-tagline

  Keep in mind that search engines do take some time to update. You can encourage a faster update for your site by publishing frequently and sharing various posts across different social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

  Whenever you change something, it’s brand new to the search engines and you start over. It will take up to several weeks for them to realize your new name, if it’s just a new name. If it’s a new URL, basically it’s as if it’s a brand new blog and you can be looking at up to two months for search engines to notice you.
