Change name of my WP blog

  I need to change the name of my WP blog because of a mis-spelling.

  The wrong name is “http://sustainabiltyseminar.wordpress.com/”

  It should read “http://sustainability-seminars.wordpress.com/”

  Thank you for advising me.

  Why don’t you just register a new blog with the spelling you want and then set the old one to Private? It’s very useful to have a private blog to test themes and widgets on.

  I thought I read somewhere that special characters like hyphens were stripped out in WP subdomains.

  Thank you Raincoster but my problem is this. I have tried to do that, but in the process I lose all of the reference materials that I have so painfully pieced together for the students, which appear in the four Footer Areas at the base of each page. this required a LOT of time and work and I would really hate to have to do it all again. Hence my request.

  And notawoodpecker, I belive that you are right there, which means that I am going to have to come up with antoehr name – BUT ONLY IF I CAN MAKE A NAME CHANGE AS REQUESTED.
