Change name of site
-
I created my account some time ago. I never used it. I want to change the name of the site not my user name. I would have to use a different email to create a new account and I don’t want to do that. How do I change the name of the site?

https://happypainter212.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.
You cannot register any deleted blog URL. Deleting any .wordpress.com blog URL is not easily done and what you ask to do is not possible. One has to ignore at least three warnings stating that deletion is permanent and irreversible and then click a verification link in an email to delete a blog. That’s because deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

If you are referring to a different site registered under your username please read on.
re: changing a site title or tagline
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the underlying .wordpress.com URL and purchased the upgrade the Site title (blog name) and/or the optional Tagline can be changed on the top of this page at any time. > Settings > General … “save changes”.That is exactly where search engine spiders look for the site title and removing it from there can cause issues with getting your content indexed. Note that the site title (blog name) and blog address URL do not have to be the same but it’s better for SEO (search engine optimization) if they are the same.
