Change name servers
-
I read this page:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/
It is what I’m looking for, but when I try to go through it step-by-step, what I see on the screen doesn’t match what is on the Support Page. What do I need to do to change the name servers? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
what I see on the screen doesn’t match what is on the Support Page
Just wondering if you could be a little more specific? What is on the support page, that you aren’t seeing when you attempt to do this?
Also, the beginning of the support doc., states the following:
“If you’re moving your site to another host, we suggest you transfer your domain to the new host so that both your domain and your hosting are managed in the same place.
In some cases though, this option may not be available. For example, if you just registered your domain, you won’t be able to transfer it for 60 days. Also, some hosts simply don’t support domain registration transfers.”
Are you moving your site to another host by chance? or have you just registered your domain with in the last 60 days?
-
Yes, it’s less than 60 days.
The first picture-I don’t have the second domain.
When I click on the arrow (like the top domain shown), there is nothing to click for “Name Servers an DNS”.
So I see none of the rest of that page. -
Hello again,
Would you mind providing me with the reason as to why you are looking to change the name server? Clarifiying this may help me assist you better, as I’m not quite sure what your purpose is.
Thank you

As stated above in the quote from the support doc., Domains registered less than 60 days cannot be transferred
-
I want to use Bluehost.
Yes, it says the domain cannot be transferred for 60 days.
” For example, if you just registered your domain, you won’t be able to transfer it for 60 days. Also, some hosts simply don’t support domain registration transfers.
You can point your domain to your new host even if you’re unable to transfer the registration, by changing the domain’s name servers.”What I want to do is to point the domain to a new host. It says I can do that by changing the domain’s name servers. I would like to know HOW to do that.

Hi pinerosedesignspvq,

Yes, that correct. If a domain is registered through WordPress.com, you will be able to update the name servers from the Domains page.
There are currently no active domains owned by the account you are logged in to now —
you cancelled pinerosedesigns.com and were refunded a few days ago. Is this the domain you would like to change the name servers for?Let me know and we’ll go from there.
Thanks!

Yes, that’s it. I’m sorry, I really screwed when I started this last week, I sure didn’t know what I was doing. I’d appreciate any help you can give me.

Hi pinerosedesignspvq,

Don’t worry, I can try and help you get things straightened out.
pinerosedesigns.com has already been released but the good news is, it’s still available. This means there are two options:
1. Purchase the domain through WordPress.com again and point the name servers to Bluehost.
2. Purchase the domain through Bluehost and keep the site and domain together in one place.
Which option would you prefer?
Thanks!

Hi pinerosedesignspvq,
darnelldibbles said last night he would try to help me, but I didn’t see that until this afterrnoon
I’ve seen the other thread (with darnelldibbles) but the domain has been released since then. He has also replied to your last message to confirm this.
Now the domain has been released we are no longer able to restore it — there is a short window in which we can do so after a domain has been cancelled. However, we no longer have control over the domain.
I checked again today and it’s still available so I recommend registering it as soon as you can.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
