Change Name Servers

Hello,
I will change the name servers, as stated in the procedure by WordPress.com. But I wanted to know if in case of difficulties, I would always have access to my backoffice on WordPress.com: either to cancel the change, but also to start the procedure of transfer of domain name (what I intend to do a little more later)

Hi there,
Do you want to point your domain, atelierdesimon.com, to a different provider?
Doing that doesn’t affect your dashboard access in any way. As long as you don’t cancel your domain and delete your free WordPress.com site, you’ll still be able to access and manage the domain via My Site ->Domains, and you’ll be able to edit or export content on the free WordPress.com site.

Just another question : if I set up a 301 redirection at my host, the dashboard will still be accessible?

Your content here with us will still exist at the free URL, so there is no risk of losing it.
If you connect the domain to another host, you won’t be able to access the WordPress.com dashboard at the custom domain, i.e. atelierdesimon.com/wp-admin
But you’ll always be able to access the dashboard at the free URL, latelierdesimon.wordpress.com/wp-admin, regardless of where the custom domain is pointed or what redirect are set up, either with us or with the other hosting provider.
The My Sites dashboard is also linked with the free address, so you’ll have access to that no matter how you’re using the custom domain.
