Change normal state formatting
-
Hi everyone,
Newbie here, struggling with formatting!
I am using the Business Gravity theme, and having trouble with the “latest posts” page. In the corner of each post summary, on top of the featured image, the theme displays the date of the post.
Probably due to some formatting decisions I’ve made elsewhere, this appears as a white rectangle because the text is white and the background is white (in the code it looks like it’s transparent but if it was surely it wouldn’t show up as a white rectangle?).
I can see that the “a:hover” state makes “background-color” turn red, so then you can see the white text.
I would like it to either be white text on a transparent background, or blue (#00205B) text on a white background. I’ve been playing around with variations of:
meta-date a {
background-color: #00205B
}I’m hoping I’ve just not selected the correct element to change – does anyone know what it is I should be changing?

Hi, @oliverwinters
Your site is on the self-hosted WordPress.org. These forums are for WordPress.com. These are two different entities (see https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/ for the differences between the two).
For help fixing your page, I would suggest going to the WordPress.org forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ where you’ll find users who have more expertise and experience with WordPress.org.
