Change of blog name to one that was abandoned/deactivated by previous owner

  Hi there,

  I’d like to change my blog to carolinecooper.wordpress.com, rather than its current incarnation carolinemcooper.wordpress.com as the middle initial is superflous. carolinecooper has been abandoned and deleted by its previous owners, yet as I tried to acquire this name, I was advised it was already in use. Can this be resolved? Or is it the case that once a wordpress blog name is created it is forever taken, even if deleted?

  carolinecooper.wordpress.com is no longer available.
  The authors have deleted this site

  Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
