  Please how long does it take for a changed display name on WordPress to reflect on older public comments made on someone else’s WordPress blog?

  Hi there,

  If you change your display name, it will show the new name on all new comments you leave from that point forwards.

  But when you comment on a site, the display name you have at that moment gets saved on the site in question, and it’s not affected by changes you make to your display name later.

  Put differently, the only way to change your display name on an existing comment, is for the owner of the site in question to edit your comment and change the name on the comment for you.
