Change of domain name
-
I have a big problem. I mistakenly changed my domain name instead of the username… How do I get back to my previous domain name? Please, help.

Hi there,
Domain names can’t be changed once they’re registered.
If you misspelled or otherwise need to change a domain, you can cancel it within the 96-hour cancellation window. From there, you can register a new, correct domain name for your site through your domains page.
If you purchased domain mapping and misspelled your domain during this process, you can cancel and refund within 30 days.
You can read more about it here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/#change-a-domain-nameAlso, please know that, once you change the “example” part of example.wordpress.com, the old address will stop working. Visitors will not be redirected to your new site address. The old address will not be available for use again.
You can read about it here:

Cheers!

I’ve been writing my blog for three years. Yesterday I mistakenly changed the domain name and I would like to cancel it but I don’t know how. Where is the option to cancel the name change?

Hi –
I’ll be glad to look at this for you. Site names aren’t able to be reverted after a change. Please share the site in question, though, so we can be thorough.

Hi,
Thank You very very very much for your reply. My website is http://www.dziewczynaendorfina.wordpress.com (ealier http://www.30minusdla30plus.wordpress.com).
I would like to return to the site name http://www.30minusdla30plus.wordpress.com
because this website was well indexed on Google for my readers.
Visitors who know my website http://www.30minusdla30plus.wordpress.com unfortunately are not redirected to my new domain name http://www.dziewczynaendorfina.wordpress.com.Greetings from Poland :)

Hi –
I’ve restored 30minusdla30plus.wordpress.com which had previously been deleted.
Set that site as your primary domain now:
https://wordpress.com/support/my-blogs/#primary-blog
That should be all you need. Write back though if anything else comes up.
