change of domain what happens to followers

  Hi

  i’m helping a friend update here blog.

  Now happens that she’s changing her domain name as well so I was wondering if there’s a way to keep all the followers?

  Basically at the moment we have 2 blogs running

  old one; http://www.lovelifeandhappyeverafter.com
  new one: allthebuzz.co.uk

  based on other forum threads it was recommended to create a new hidden blog and import the content from the old one and then move everything to the old one again

  now I’m not sure if this is possible to do with the new domain?

  What’s the best way to keep the followers as she’s worked hard to build them up?

  Any ideas?

  Provided you have installed and activated the JetPack plugin http://jetpack.me on your WordPress.org install, and you post the relevant URL(s) into a forum thread, Staff will do the transfer of both subscribers and stats for you.

  Say what? Who recommended that?
  You simply export the content out of the free hosted WordPress.com blog and import it into the WordPress.ORG install.
