change of email

  I wish to change my accounts email address.
  It wont allow me to change it because the email address is already in use but the account it is already in use with I deactivated several months ago.
  I’m wanting to change my email as i’m currently using my college email which is due to expire within the coming months

  There is a single email address that can be used on only one wordpress.COM username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account.

  The wordpress.COM blog’s owner can change the relevant email address on their accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account at any time. A confirmation email will be sent to that address.

  Hi there,

  If the email you want to use is already connected to another account, you won’t be able to use it for this account. It doesn’t matter that the other account is not active – if the email address is still connected to it you’ll first need to change the email for that account before you’ll be able to use that address for this account.

  What is the email address you are trying to use?
