Change of email

I want to move my site (under an old email) to a new email. I tried changing the email in the account settings but couldn’t because both email is already in WordPress. How do I do that?

There is a single email address that can be used on only one wordpress.COM username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account. You cannot have two username accounts that use the same email address. https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
We can change the relevant email address on our accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account at any time. A confirmation email will be sent to that address.
