Change of Site URL

  Hi there, I really need help.

  I want to change my site url so badly, but I’m afraid that I will lose all my all the data I have since I’m using a free account.
  Is there any way you guys can help me?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Changing your site’s URL or adding a custom domain will not affect your site’s content.

  @huixuanblah – If the WPcom address you want is available, why not just register a second site under your current username and then export your current site’s content and import it to the new site?

  Export Your Website’s Content

  You can then have your stats and followers moved by staff to the new WPcom site and then either make your original site private (and use it for testing) or leave a last post on the old site noting that you’re now posting elsewhere.

  Given the number of community members who have come through the forums after accidentally deleting their original site and/or username, doing the above instead saves a world of headache.
