change of the name of my blog

    Hi! I started using wordpress recently. Firstly I had my blog under a domain juliagoesaway.wordpress.com but something didn’t work and I had to delete it. Thus now I have my blog under a domain juliagoesaway.home.blog However I would like to change it to juliagoesaway.wordpress.com as I wanted it from the very beginning but the website doesn’t allow me and says that blog already exists. If you check it, it doesnt exist and what is more when it existed (for about half hour) it was created by me and also deleted by me. How can I change ? I would really appreciate your help!

    Hi there,

    Looking at juliagoesaway.wordpress.com I see that this was removed by the owner.

    If the site was recently deleted ,and you are the owner of the website, one of the staff members can help you restore it.

    I will tag this thread for them to take a look.

    Hi Julia,

    juliagoesaway.wordpress.com was owned by another account (which suggests you have more than one) and deleted almost a year ago.

    As @stefanclin mentioned, site deletions can be reversed for the first 30 days but it won’t be possible in this case due to the length of time that has passed. We would have also needed the request to come from the other account.

    Deleting a site means that address is no longer available, even on new sites. While it won’t be possible to use juliagoesaway.wordpress.com again, you can choose a variation of this address.
