Change of URL = Loss of followers?

  Hi everyone!

  I have a blog Just Another Teen Blogger which is a ________.wordpress.com hosted blog. I’ve been considering changing this to another url which is still hosted by WordPress (meaning it would still be _____.wordpress.com). If I did this would I lose the followers or posts that I have?

  My blog is currently privated for personal reasons but I would love to get some replies on this thread! Please help, I don’t want to change the URL until I know about the follower situation.
