Change of user name and email

  Hi this is the link to an old site I began to use https://thirstytree.wordpress.com. How can I transfer to my new site but still use the content? I am no longer using ‘thirstytree.co.uk’ as my email address. I now use ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ and would like to still call the site ‘the halffullinkwell’. It’s really only to store my work. I am a writer. Thanks, Tomas.

  Hi Tomas,

  I’m not sure I understand exactly what are you trying to do. What site and where exactly would you like to transfer it?
  Do you mean to move the site thirstytree.wordpress.com to your account thehalffullinkwell? If so, you can do that by following this guide:

  https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  If that’s not what you meant, please let me know more details.

  Hi,
  Thanks for your help. I would like to use the old site thirstytree.wordpress.com instead of thehalffullinkwell. I only set up the new site because I couldnt find or access the old one at first.

  https://thirstytree.wordpress.com/ belongs to a different WordPress.com account here, not the one you’re currently logged in to.

  We have some options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

  Hi,
  Thanks for your help. I tried your suggestion but was unable to fill in
  the details required i.e. the Password Reset Process form did not allow me
  to click on even the first step (Username or email).

  I would like to use the https://thirstytree.wordpress.com account again. The original email address associated with that account no longer exists (I closed it).
