Change of Web Address

Hi, I’ve been a using WordPress since early 2016 and when creating the web address it didn’t dawn upon me that I shouldn’t be using my personal name. I’d like to change the web address, please help as I don’t know how to. And the only ‘other’ option available is to delete and start over again. Please help, thank you!!

Removing the “.wordpress” part of your site address does require a paid custom domain upgrade: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
However, you’re able to change your site address at any time for free, baring in mind that the “.wordpress(.com)” part will remain present. Changing a site address: https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-site-address/
If you’re wishing to change your blog name but not your address, please follow this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/general-settings/
I also just want to add that having your first name as your blog title/name/address isn’t a huge worry, it’s a pretty common thing. I would, however, be cautious about using full names or other any sort of personal information.
