Change of website manager

  Hello,
  We have a website designer and management team which created our website on wordpress but we have ended our contract with them which officially ends on 31st May.
  I have set up an account on WordPress because i want to take care of it myself. What information do i need from the current management team to do the switch?

  You can transfer the ownership of your site to your new WordPress.com account. Have a look here : https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  Just to clarify, these forums you’ve posted to assist users of the WPcom platform. If your site is using the open source WP software on 3rd party hosting, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll find documentation and users who have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.

  Hello,

  Thank you both for your advise.

  Unfortunately I am one of those annoying people that have never done this before and obviously thought it was a case of clicking a few buttons and a bit of copy and pasting my domain!

  So I am sorry for my pure lack of knowledge.

  My website is http://www.totalconcrete-screed.com
  I don’t even know what version they have used to create it, I also don’t know which one is better for me to use. I would just need to make small, basic alterations to my site.
  How do I find out which platform they have used without asking them?
