Change order of posts in custom book tab

  I’m trying to help a friend, who has had a site made for him a while ago. It has a custom tab for books he’s selling that functions like the “Post” tab. But for some reason when new book titles are added, they are displayed at the bottom. I want to be able to move these book posts around so the new ones are at the top.

  I tried installing the Simple Custom Post Order plugin, and while it lets me move the posts around in the backend, it is not reflected on the site itself. It is like the plugin is hardcoded to always display the old posts/books at the top while new ones are added at the bottom. Is there any way to fix this? Or is it impossible to fix without changing plugin because of the way the custom plugin is programmed?

  Hi there,

  Since the site you’re working on is a self-hosted WordPress (not hosted here at WordPress.com), you’ll need to ask for more help about that issue in the WordPress.org forums.

  I checked the Simple Custom Post Order plugin’s support forum and I see that other people with that plugin have mentioned similar problems, and haven’t received a reply from the plugin author. You may want to reach out to the plugin author in that forum, but you may also be better off trying a different plugin or posting in the WordPress.org forums for more help with that.
