Change Page Backgrounds
-
Hi, I would like to change the page background to look like it does on the homepage instead of just being white like it is when I click on the page. Can someone help with this coding?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The free WordPress.com plans don’t offer CSS coding as an option for customizing your site. And since the theme you’re using, Pique, is geared towards one-page scrolling websites, it doesn’t include the option to change the background on other pages.
Another option would be to look into other themes that allow you to customize your home page as well as individual pages. There are certainly other routes you could take if you want to upgrade to a different plan, but I’m still not an expert on the paid plans.
Hope this was somewhat helpful!

Hi @theconnectionokc, I see you have added custom CSS rules to set unique backgrounds for your pages by using the unique page id CSS class from the opening body html tag.
Let us know if you have further questions.

hi. Is there a way on pique to get rid of that front page gray section? or at least make it totally transparent?

Hi @marianneypetit, since I don’t see any sites associated with your username, I would expect you are on a self-hosted installation of the WordPress.org software. For self-hosted WordPress sites using Pique, there is a dedicated support forum at WordPress.org where you can post your questions.
The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
I would have take a quick look at your site to see if I could point you in the right direction, but you did not give a link to your site.

The gray section at the top, if that is the one you are talking about, is to show the content of your home page (that you enter into the page editor). We can hide that though, if you are not going to have any content on the home page with the following.
.home #pique-hero { display: none; }You may wish to have a look at our Pique Theme Showcase page which has setup information for the Pique theme.
