Change pagebar through CSS?
-
Hi all.
I’ve recently customised the Contempt theme by Michael Heilemann. It looks to be ok in the preview but I’d like to change the pagebar.jpg, bg.jpg and the appearance of the “home” and “about” buttons. Also if possible, I’d like to change the colour of the top bar called wpcombar_bkg.png. For a clearer view, please look at http://www.geocities.com/kendalbren/gaijintonicdesktop.jpg I’ve uploaded a screenshot showing the bit I’d like to change through CSS or any other way if possible.
Thanks in advance.

Please?
If anyone has any ideas or can even point me in the right direction, I’d be very grateful. I’ve trawled the Internet looking for a clue but no joy.
Thanks again.

Hi devblog. Yes……I have bought the CSS upgrade. I’m all set to go apart from the issues mentioned above. Any ideas?

Well, first you’d need to upload the new bg image to your blog or other image hosting site. Then you’d need to modify the definition of #wpcombar; something like this:
‘
#wpcombar{
background:#color url(path/to/img.ext) no-repeat 50% 0 !important;
…
}’Note the !important rule. This will help your definition take precedence.
It seems that you pretty much located what definitions affect what element, you just need to tweak their properties to make them look the way you want it.
I hope I answered your questions, if not, let me know.
