  Can you change the permalinks in wordpress.com?

  I’m sorry but that’s not possible on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. The permalinks structure cannot be changed on our blogs here.

  With regard to deleting pages please see here > edit pages screen. The Trash feature allows you to remove pages without permanently deleting them right away. Items in your trash folder can be restored or permanently deleted as your so choose.

  I have the same question. Is there a pay option that will allow me to change the permalink? I’m trying to change my content to wordpress from blog.com and this seems to be a make or break for me right now

  No there isn’t. Posts are always associated with a date, which is included in the URL.

  You can hire a web host and download a free software install for self-hosting from WordPress.org. Then you can install a theme and plugins and export your content out of your WordPress.com blog into the WordPress.org install.

  @foodphotographyprops, you would have to self-host a wordpress site on a third-party hosting service such as godaddy, bluehost, etc., using the software from wordpress.ORG to be able to customize permalinks.
