Change portfolio project page layout
-
How do I make the layout of my Fieldwork Version 2 portfolio project page (under “Research” in the menu) the same as my Fieldwork Version 1 page (under Research as well)? I specifically want to make the image sizes the same with their project title underneath.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey kvistlab!
I’m not quite sure what you’re asking here. Both of those pages are essentially the same layout.
Did you want to just have one uniform size for your images with text under?
If that’s what you want to do you have a problem because all of your images are different sizes and shapes. My advice would to be go into your Media and crop each featured image down to the same exact size. This will make all of your featured images the same size and much more symmetrical.
If that’s not what you’re looking for let me know and I’ll help you figure it out!

Hi @kvistlab, your Fieldwork Version 1 is a Static page with the portfolio shortcode in it whereas your V2 is an actual Portfolio project page. Create a new static page for V2 (pages > add new) and then transfer your V2 shortcode over to that page and it will look the same as your V1 page.

Hi fmixell,
Yes that’s that I’m wanting to do, I’ll try to do that. Thanks for the suggestion!Hi sacredpath,
The thing is that I need to keep V2 a Portfolio project page since I want it to show up as a clickable image on my “Research” page. -
My suggestion is to have them both the same, either static pages with the portfolio shortcode, or have them both normal project pages. Trying to make the static page with the shortcode match the normal project page would be a pretty monumental task. The shortcode styling is done in such a way that it will pretty much work on all themes, even those that don’t fully support the portfolio feature.
