change post to a page

Some of the content I have written appears in Uncategorised, and I can’t edit or order it. It seems some material is in the form of posts, while other material is in the form of Pages, which I find I can order as required. So I need to change posts to pages. Is there a way of doing it within WordPress? I couldn’t find one. A search recommended a plug-in called post type switcher. When I tried to install it, a notification appeared saying to install plug-ins, I must convert to an expensive business plan. Why have you introdued this stipluation to install a simple plug-in, and is there a way round it so I can continue with a free version for my non-profit site?

To reach pages requires your visitors to physically click on a title in the right hand column and then click back and open a different page. If you must change a post to a page then copy and paste is the way. Page/Add new in the left column is easy enough to find. You don’t have to log out/in again to your site to add a new page to your site.

And posts will all appear in “uncategorised” unless you add one or more specific categories to your posts. This is worth doing as you can create a list of categories so posts with similar subjects can be grouped together.
