change posts to different blog

Can I take my sailing related posts out of my jewellery related blog posts and just change the name of the blog. In other words I would have 2 blogs. I should have done the sailing posts under a new blog title to begin with but I’m new to this. I’m afraid to transfer anything in case I lose it, so please tell me the safest way to do it. Thank you very much.

I believe I have found the blog in question. http://davidjdickson.wordpress.com/
If this is the blog to which you are referring you can get a new blog, export the posts and links out of the existing blog, and then import them into a new blog. Doing that means you will have to set the new blog to “private” temporarily. This is so you can go through the imported posts and links in the new blog and delete all those that relate to jewelry posts. After you have done that you can go into the jewelry blog and delete all the sailing posts and links. Then you can make the new sailing blog public.

Hi. Thanks for the quick response. I opened a new blog but still can’t import. maybe this blog isn’t Wrx files yet . http://davidjdickson.wordpress.com/ I unchecked the privacy box on the new blog http://notsailingyet.wordpress.com/
I also exported http://davidjdickson.wordpress.com/ but I don’t know what that did. If I can’t figure this out maybe I will just copy / paste content & redo the posts. I can download the images again too. I have so much to learn here. It’s coming slowly. Thanks again
