change preview to square to suit instagram images

  Hi i plan on using a lot of images from insagram for my blog..

  Can anyone change the preview on my site to be square as well, that way the images will will not be cropped. Does that make sense?

  The theme is set up to crop your featured images so that they’re in a 3:2 ratio and landscape orientation. If you edit your photos before you upload them so that they’re 1200px wide by 800px tall then they’ll perfectly fit the theme (without cutting the top of your head off).

  As for making them square with CSS, that gets a little tricky. I can’t think of anything right now but if I figure something out that will work with your responsive theme I’ll let you know.

  The alternative is to edit them to have white bars taking up one sixth of each side when you upload them so that they appear square everywhere.
