Change profile e-mail

  I’d like to change the e-mail account that is listed under my wordpress profile to an e-mail account that I used on a previous wordpress blog that has since been deleted. Is this possible?

  Yes, it’s possible. Go to your dashboard, and click on the “settings” tab. This should make you under “general” settings. Now, scroll down the lists and you’ll see “email”. It will show your old email, now in that box delete that email, and type in the new email you want. Then scroll down the page, and click “save changes”.

  Now log-in to your email, and accept the email they’ll send. That’s all you have to do.

  I’ve been able to change the e-mail under settings, but the e-mail for my profile is the one I am having trouble changing. I go under Dashboard–>My Account–>Edit Profile and when I try to change the e-mail there to my previous e-mail it will not work because it’s says that e-mail is already being used (it’s being used by the account I deleted).
