Change profile in wordpress.com to reflect SSL

How do I change my profile on wordpress.com to reflect the SSL site, rather than http? When I posted a question on a forum, the “Select the blog you need help with:” drop down menu listed my http site, which is now an https site. I could not find where to change my profile.

@jackcunha, Do you need to change your WordPress.com profile? All WordPress.com sites are already secure, and you cannot have access to change or modify SSL files. WordPress.com takes care of that for you. Also let me know a site address on which I can check on.

Apparently I was not clear. As I went through the online form to post to another WordPress.com forum, when I clicked on “Select the blog you need help with”, the drop down menu listed my http site, which is no longer valid, because we have upgraded to https. So, it appears I am profiled in WordPress.com with the http site address, not the now correct https address; I want to fix the address, so if I post to a forum again, the drop down menu will list the https address.

@jackcunha, I am still not understanding? You want your address to be http, instead of https? Also, please send me a site address for me to check on.

  • The “The blog I need help with” drop down appears to default to http, even if your connected site is using https. That’s just how the drop down is coded, and there’s no reason to need to change that. It’s simply the way the drop down displays. Even my SSL Jetpack sites do display http on that drop down, although the My sites button does know my site uses https. Same for my sites hosted here.

SSL properly configured will automatically direct to the correct https link when clicked.

You can change the link that people get when clicking on your name in this forum and when you comment on other blogs at the web address field here in your Profile: https://wordpress.com/me/account

    Hope that answers your questions!
