Change "Read more" information into German

Hello, does anybody know how to change the “Read more” into a German option? into “Mehr” for example?

Hello Pamela
You can change the message in the more tag, for example try adding a space after “more” and then type in your custom message, like this;
<!–more Mehr!–>best,

I’d be interested in this, too.
It is present in the translation files (http://bit.ly/2oDUDKg), but the theme Twentyseventeen doesn’t fetch the string from there, apparently.

@manuschwendenerTwenty Seventeen is a new theme and the translations are probably not completely done yet as manuschwendener observed. This is actually a Translations issue. For a Staff response please click this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/translations#postform and create a new thread in the Translations forum. Then type modlook into the sidebar tags on one line. Also type Twenty Seventeen into the sidebar tags on a separate line.

Aha! Sorry I did not word that correctly. I did understand you and I do apologize.
This is actually a Translations issue. For a Staff response please click this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/translations#postform and create a new thread in the Translations forum. Then type modlook into the sidebar tags on one line. Also type Twenty Seventeen into the sidebar tags on a separate line. Lastly, type bug report fetching failure on another separate line.
