Change site address

    I wish to drop one letter from my address: currently the address is kevalexan and I wish only to drop the final letter so the new address will be: kevalexa. I do not follow all the the mumbo jumbo details about permanently deleting the blog/my access to it, etc. I am unconcerned about being ‘found’ as this is a project I’ve been planning for a long time but have barely gotten started and have only three posts which I do NOT wish to lose. I made a mistake adding the last letter and for easier recognition by friends who know me it works better that I make this minor change and will not have need of the current address unless giving it up means giving up the little bit of content I have but the way it’s explained it’s unclear what will happen. Please advise.

    Hi kevalexa,

    Lets crack this for you…

    If you follow the steps below you can change your WordPress.com domain name to the new domain you want (if its available). You wont lose anything or alter your site, it will just change the domain name.

    1. Click on My Sites on the top left.
    2. Click on Domains
    3. Select your primary domain kevalexan.wordpress.com.
    4. Click on Edit site address
    5. Below the address column, hover over your current domain name and select change blog address.

    follow the step by step instructions from there.
