Change site address and bugs with the main page

  I have changed my site address (domain) about 12 hours ago and since then, every time I click on the main page of my menu, I am redirected to my old site address with an error message reading : ‘the (address of my old site) is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site’. I can still access all the other pages and all the posts of my old site.

  I am not willing to retrieve my old site name and would like to know how I can access to the main page without this page to show up. Is there a delay before the change in site address is completely operational?

  @ladyjuju, it sounds like the main link was hardwired to the old address. Can you try editing your menu and replacing the link?
