Change Site Address – Can't?

    Trying to change the name of my WP site to something else, but WP says the name is taken. However, if I try to go to that site name (matthewedwinmiller.wordpress.com) it says the authors have deleted this site. So why can’t I use it?

    (btw… it was probably me since, as you can see, Im trying to use my member name as the domain name, and unlikely someone else tried to use the same name).

    Hi there!

    I’m sorry you’re facing this issue.
    But deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (like matthewedwinmiller.wordpress.com in your case)
