Change Site Administrator

  Please let me know how to change the site administrator on my website. Thanks

  Hi,

  If you’re referring to a WordPress.com site, and there is only one administrator, then the administrator would be the site owner and the only way to change the site owner/administrator would be to transfer the site to another account. See the Transfer a Site to Another WordPress.com Account support page for relevant information and instructions.

  If there are multiple administrators on a WordPress.com site, I believe any administrator may remove any other administrator, with the exception that the site owner, as described in the Removing Users section of the Invite People to Your Site support page. The site owner can’t be removed in this manner.

  A site administrator may add another site administrator by inviting a WordPress.com member to be a user with the role of administrator, as described in the Adding Users to Your Site section of the Invite People to Your Site support page.
